Vanessa Chen is a Melbourne-based emerging contemporary artist. Her practice explores the intersections of memory, identity, and the subconscious, often through dreamlike narratives centred on the female experience. In In Dreams: She Comes to Me, Chen investigates her own dreamscapes, translating intimate, surreal visions into mixed-media works that blur boundaries between reality and imagination. Through this series, she reflects on selfhood, desire, and the fluidity of inner worlds, inviting viewers to enter a personal yet universal space of reverie and introspection.
